FreeColorPalettes.co is a free color palette tool for designers and developers. We are committed to handling your data transparently and minimally. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

Data We Collect

We collect limited data to understand how the site is used and to improve it:

• Usage analytics — page views, session duration, and referral sources via Google Analytics (GA4). This data is anonymised and aggregated.
• Palette interactions — when you like a palette, we store a record of that interaction (no personal identifier is attached).
• Feedback submissions — if you submit feedback via the /feedback page, your message and any email address you voluntarily provide are stored.
• Server logs — standard server access logs (IP address, browser, pages visited) retained for up to 30 days for security and performance monitoring.

Data We Do Not Collect

• No account registration — we do not collect names, email addresses, or passwords unless you voluntarily submit feedback.
• No image uploads stored — images processed by the Image-to-Palette tool are handled entirely in your browser. No image data is sent to our servers.
• No payment data — all tools are free and we do not process any payments.
• No cross-site tracking — we do not use third-party advertising cookies or sell your data.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure site usage. GA4 collects anonymised data about your visit including pages viewed, time on site, and general geographic region (country/city level). Google Analytics sets cookies on your device for this purpose.

Google's data processing is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Third-Party Services

Beyond Google Analytics, FreeColorPalettes.co loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.google.com). Google Fonts may log the request IP address. No other third-party scripts, ad networks, or tracking pixels are used.

Data Retention

Analytics data is retained in Google Analytics for 14 months (the minimum GA4 configuration). Server logs are retained for 30 days. Feedback submissions are retained until you request deletion.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be noted in that date.
